Why I am Running
a proud Calgarian
I am running for Alderman because I am a proud Calgarian and want to give back to our great city.
I believe people choosing to run for public office must have a high level of commitment to serving the interest of those that elected them.
But my friends, that is not enough. Those that seek office must be open to new ideas. They must understand that it is a privilege to work for the benefit of Calgarians’, and must have a strong commitment to the job of Alderman. That sense of commitment must also be met with a high level of integrity, because so much responsibility rests in the hands of our elected officials. One bad decision impacts us all.
That is why I am running for Alderman of Ward 4. I want to be that voice that brings reason, passion, and common sense to City Council. Such a belief, however, is not enough for this vision to succeed. I need the support from the citizens of Ward 4 and all Calgarians’. That way the city we all love and call home will become even more prosperous and beautiful.
Calgarians’ are famous for their strong moral fibre and Western can-do-spirit. That is why Calgary is such an amazing city to live in—and why I have worked hard to give back to the city that has given so much to my family and I. By working together, we can overcome the challenges that face our great city and make it an even greater place to live and work in.
What I offer to you as citizens of Ward 4 is to bring forward common sense and common values to City Council. I vow to do this with integrity and passion in order to achieve my three key priorities: fiscal accountability, safer communities, and creating a strong and vibrant economy.
Over these next few months I intend to win your trust, so that on Election Day you can be confident that a vote for Sean Chu is a vote for a renewed sense of purpose on City Council, and a voice for common sense and common values.
