The City of Calgary’s Roads Business Unit has finalized the annual Pavement Rehabilitation Program schedule for 2017. Ward 4 will see two of these projects take place in the summer months.

Roads strive to keep Calgarians moving, and infrastructure operating at peak efficiency. This program supports the objectives in Action Plan 2015 – 2018 as well as the achievement of performance measurements such as the percentage roadway pavement in good or very good condition (2016 – 78%, 2015 – 81%).

Roads Department is making strides in enhancing how the Pavement Rehabilitation Program schedule is communicated and coordinated with utility partners. This year marks the first using the Roadway Activity Map, a recently launched desktop application that provides real-time information to stakeholders.

Major pavement rehabilitation projects will be posted on Calgary.ca/paving before the program start date in June. It is important to note that paving schedules are subject to change due to weather and emergency road work.
