Beginning December 23, Calgary Transit is making changes to Route 3 around Beddington Towne Centre. Route 3 will travel on Beddington Boulevard rather than using Bergen Road and Bermuda Drive NW. This change is being made to address safety and operational concerns of using articulated buses on Bergen Road and Bermuda Drive.

In winter with snow and ice conditions, combined with the slope and parked cars, operators are sometimes unable to maneuver through these streets. Six stops will no longer be served by the Route 3. Some customers will have a maximum walk of 450m to an alternative Route 3 stop or can use a different route to travel downtown from the existing stops. There are no changes to the timetable or frequency of buses.

These route changes will be implemented with Calgary Transit’s Winter 2019 Service Changes starting December 23, 2019.
