Chinatown Street Festival 2025

Get ready to experience one of the most phenomenal cultural presences in the heart of Calgary Chinatown. Hosted by the Calgary Chinatown Business Improvement Association, the one-day event will feature cultural sharing, local vendors, food, live performances, and family-friendly activities. Don’t miss the Lion & Dragon Dance, the official opening ceremony, and stage performances.

The festival is free to attend, pet friendly, and fun for the whole family! The festival combines multicultural performances on stage and off stage, cultural food and retail booths, and cultural family fun activities and entertainment. Families of all ages will find something to love about this festival, with plenty of food, entertainment, and shopping. The Chinatown eateries and malls are also open to welcome all visitors.

A one-day free entry event for everyone, with activities for big and small humans vendor tents, cultural tents, kids fun zone and food trucks to let everyone enjoy. With over 40 cultural, merchandise and food tents, this is your opportunity to bring out the varieties for new and old customers.

Sean Chu arrived in Calgary from Taiwan in 1985 speaking not a word of English, and within 7 years he was a sworn officer with the Calgary Police Service. From that point on Sean worked with the Calgary Police Service as on Officer for 21 years in a number of roles until 2013.
