When the City of Calgary no longer requires vehicles, equipment, furniture, materials, and / or technology items for service delivery, but they have been deemed suitable for other purposes, they are prepared for public sale.
Many items have multiple lives and purposes at City sites after being reused, repaired and upcycled. The City of Calgary strives to reuse as much as possible within The Corporation before putting assets up for public sale.
The City of Calgary no longer sells surplus items through its online surplus store. All surplus items, including police seizures, unclaimed lost and found, vehicles, and equipment, are available through a local contracted auction service.
