Cambrian Heights Home Closure – SCAN Investigation

Some good news for residents in Cambrian Heights who for some time now have had to deal with this house constantly. Calgary Police have been called to this house 32 times, and in late June a shooting occurred where many residents had to dive to their floors for cover.

MLA Jeremy Nixon and I met with residents of Cardiff Drive soon after to discuss the house in question, what has occurred, and next steps. Thanks to a SCAN investigation, this house is now closed for 90 days starting Aug 4. Thank you to all the residents who have been submitting information to CPS, and SCAN.

I am working with MLA Nixon on a town hall for residents affected by this house with Justice Minister Schweitzer soon, so that residents can ask questions of the Minister, and next steps. Our office is waiting on date options from the Minister, and will we then let community members impacted by this house know to RSVP. #yyc #yyccc #ward4 #yycpolice

Face Masks – Handouts of Masks

A recently passed temporary bylaw will require face coverings in public indoor spaces.

The Province has supplied The City of Calgary with 1.5 million face coverings to distribute to Calgarians. This next allotment of 500,000 is available to be picked up, beginning August 1st.

Several pick-up locations have been identified in Calgary. These locations will give out packages of 10 face coverings while supplies last. Visit to find out how to get yours.
