Calgary Culture Days takes place every September and celebrates arts, culture, heritage, diversity and community spirit. New for 2025 is the Culture Days Microgrant, which supports community-led initiatives that help activate Calgary’s greater downtown through free or low-cost arts and culture programming happening between September 1-30, 2025.

With a total of $100,000 in available funding, the Culture Days Microgrant supports new or enhanced small- scale initiatives, offering up to $5,000 per project. Funding is available for events, performances, workshops, installations and other cultural experiences that foster collaboration, celebrate artistic exchange and increase participation in Calgary Culture Days. Examples include pop-up concerts or exhibitions, cultural workshops, interactive art, temporary installations, festivals, expanded programming at existing events and more.

Registered non-profits, charities, Community Associations and Business Improvement Areas in good standing with The City are invited to apply.
