Good news for Calgarians and Ward 4 residents who have made this festival a part of their family tradition – the Festival of Lights will continue!

The Festival, which has been ongoing for 32 years, will continue.

I am glad that the City and the organizers were able to find a compromise, and that once again I can take my family to this amazing light show this Christmas. The issue was relating to the time needing to set up and take down the 300,000 lights while trying to meet the City owned golf course timelines. A compromise was made, and this tradition will continue!

I am glad that my call for a compromise from the City of Calgary in July, to allow this long tradition to continue has worked and want to thank everyone who came to the table and made this a reality. Ward 4 residents are thankful.

Thank you to the volunteers who make this event happen each year. #ableg #abpoli #yyc #ward4 #yyccc
