The North Hill Communities Local Growth Planning initiative includes the communities of: Highland Park, Mount Pleasant, Tuxedo Park, Winston Heights-Mountview, Crescent Heights, Renfrew, Rosedale, Capitol Hill and Thorncliffe Greenview (south of Mcknight Blvd) – Ward 4, Ward 7 and Ward 9.

Through the local growth planning process, the City team has been working with local stakeholders to create a future vision for how land could be used and redeveloped in the area – building on the vision, goals and policies outlined in Calgary’s Municipal Development Plan and the Guidebook for Great Communities.

The final steps of the project include the presentation of the plan to the Standing Policy Committee on Planning and Urban Development on March 4, and then to Council for a public hearing on April 27. Sean Chu arrived in Calgary from Taiwan in 1985 speaking not a word of English, and within 7 years he was a sworn officer with the Calgary Police Service. From that point on Sean worked with the Calgary Police Service as on Officer for 21 years in a number of roles until 2013.
