“Approximately 585,000 property tax bills will be mailed out this Wednesday, May 14. This is several weeks earlier than a typical year to safeguard against a potential postal strike near the end of May. The tax due date remains Monday, June 30, 2025.
The property tax deadline doesn’t apply to property owners who pay their tax monthly through The City’s Tax Instalment Payment Plan (TIPP). Property owners not on TIPP, need to pay their bill in full or join TIPP before June 30 to avoid late payment penalties. We offer multiple ways for property owners to pay their tax bill.
Information on property tax payment methods, as well as tax assistance programs can be found on calgary.ca/propertytax. Approximately 330,000 property tax accounts are paid through TIPP, this is amongst the highest participation rates (approximately 60%) in Canada. TIPP participation makes life better for citizens by increasing their ease of budgeting and helping them avoid late penalties. Property owners can join TIPP online quickly and easily by going to calgary.ca/TIPP and clicking on the Join TIPP box.”
