I want to share the provincial budget link, simply to let Ward 4 residents and Calgarians, see what their taxes are going towards. Many forget that 35% of your property taxes goes directly to the province on top of your income taxes, and other fees paid to the province. While I am happy that the province is now paying attention to the fact that if Calgary is to succeed for the next generation, we need an Airport connection to our LRT/BRT system, and I am glad that they have committed the funds to developing Deerfoot Trail that is needing changes to make it safer. There are funds to complete the SW ring road also.
There are lots of things in this budget to go over, so take a look, and let your local MLA know what you think. I also am glad that they are taking part of the surplus to pay off debt.
