On Tuesday April 30, 2024, The City of Calgary is announcing the postponement of some scheduled residential street sweeping operations in communities of Scenic Acres, Somerset, Riverbend, Quarry Park, Willow Park, Wildwood, Spruce Cliff and Shaganappi due to snow and ice accumulation. Accumulating snow and ice can create challenges for our sweeping equipment.

Sweeping continues as planned in the communities of Bridgeland, Panorama Hills, Whitehorn, University Heights.

Streets that were not completed will have their sweeping dates rescheduled to June 2024. Updated sweeping schedules for affected communities are typically posted on Calgary.ca/sweep within 24 hours of postponement.

All other sweeping is continuing as scheduled today.

We may also revisit communities affected by snow and ice today to ensure sweeping completed during the snowfall meets our standards for completion.

Citywide sweeping is expected to continue, as scheduled, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, weather permitting. The City continues to monitor forecasts and will adjust operations as necessary.

Citizens can find out when their street is scheduled for sweeping by visiting Calgary.ca/sweep and using our address lookup or signing up for notifications. Sweeping that is rescheduled due to the weather will be scheduled to a later date in June 2024. We encourage citizens to sign up for street sweeping notifications at Calgary.ca/sweep.
