The City is installing a debris screen at 905 30 Ave NW across Confederation Creek to Nose Creek to support with drainage. A debris screen will help to prevent debris such as fallen branches, leaves, and trash from blocking the flow of water in the creek which will in turn reduce flooding issues that occur during rainfall events.

Construction schedule

Construction is anticipated to begin next week (weather and resources permitting), and we anticipate construction will be completed by June 2023. We appreciate your patience while crews are working in your area. We know that construction impacts can be disruptive, and we will work to mitigate impacts as best as we can.

   Construction Impacts

  • Construction vehicles, equipment and a small lay-down area for supplies will occupy a portion of the parking lot on 30th Avenue. Construction fencing will be in place around this area for the duration of the project. Please note, we do not anticipate any pathway closures.
  • Work will take place during daytime hours. During this time, residents in the area may notice increased noise as material is transported into the area.
