Summary of ENMAX Power’s Work in Ward 4, Q4 2023

As the wire service provider for Calgary, ENMAX Power is responsible for maintaining and operating the system of wires and infrastructure that provides electricity to our city’s homes and businesses. ENMAX Power crews work 24/7 to ensure safe and reliable power. Below is a summary of projects required to either maintain the electrical system and/or originate as customer-driven requests, scheduled to occur in your ward. Please note, this list does not capture routine maintenance, inspections and/or emergency work.

Project timelines are subject to change. However, we are committed to keeping residents and businesses up to date regarding any change in circumstance, that may impact our timelines. Transmission Line Relocation Project (16.61L).

Communities affected: Varsity, Dalhousie, Charleswood, Collingwood & Brentwood

Timeline: Early October 2023 until late June 2024

Upgrading and relocating overhead transmission electrical infrastructure. All affected parties will be notified, by written notice, phone calls and emails, and on-side visit with technical leads.

Sean Chu

Sean Chu arrived in Calgary from Taiwan in 1985 speaking not a word of English, and within 7 years he was a sworn officer with the Calgary Police Service. From that point on Sean worked with the Calgary Police Service as on Officer for 21 years in a number of roles until 2013.
