After the 2021 Municipal Election, the majority of Calgarians voted in favour of placing Fluoride back into the water. The link here will have more about Fluoride, and next steps. But I wanted to give everyone the timeline, that construction tender went out in 2023 for a new building at Bearspaw water treatment facility, and the existing structure at the Glenmore water treatment facility to house the new fluoride infrastructure.

In June, the city expects to have the tender awarded. Then the city will provide updated costs and schedule. With anticipated costs the city expects Fluoride to be in the water system by June 2024.
