I want to share this update since the Green Line has been an active part of my time on Council, and I was one of the original Councillors who supported it, and saw the bigger picture of what this transit line means not just for the Centre North but for all of Calgary’s growth. The Lillydale poultry plant is being demolished as we speak to make way for the Green Line. This land will be used as a staging for Green Line construction, and then after will be sold for TOD development.

I know the community is happy to see this change come, and there was a crowd yesterday to see the start of the demotion. Lillydale worked with the city to move the operations to the east side of Calgary.
