The City of Calgary continues to assess the impact of Tuesday morning’s security incident at the Municipal Building. The building will remain closed to the public.
Several services on the third floor of the complex were impacted by water damage as the result of the sprinkler system being triggered by an intruder. The intruder has been arrested by police.
The incident impacted parts of the third floor of the building that house Planning and Development Service Counter, Fair Entry, including low-income Transit passes, and The City’s Cashier services.
Contingency plans are in place to continue to supply City services until the Municipal Complex is reopened.
