Our office received this email from Calgary Transit so wanted to re-share this for anyone going downtown to enjoy New Years Eve events.

Calgary Transit will be offering free transit service on New Year’s Eve, to help encourage transit use on this busy night. The free service is courtesy of TD, who also sponsors
the TD Free Fare Zone.
This is the first time Calgary Transit has worked with a sponsor to offer free transit on New Year’s Eve. We plan to offer this type of sponsorship in future years as well, to help offset the costs of providing this important service to Calgarians.
Along with providing New Year’s Eve service for free, Calgary Transit will be extending service frequency and hours on both CTrain and several bus routes, to help Calgarians get to their celebrations and home again safely. The city will disable the purchasing of tickets and day passes through our apps and ticket vending machines on December 31.
There will be several additional adjustments to Calgary Transit’s service and hours throughout the holidays. On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, buses, CTrains and On Demand will operate on a Sunday level of service and will be regular price. Customers can find information at www.calgarytransit.com/NewYearsEve.
