We’ve opened a reception centre for Yellowknife evacuees to provide access to accommodation and other supports. An emotional and wellness response team will be onsite to provide support to evacuees in this in this very tough time.
We are also working with our partners and City shelters to accommodate pets with shelter or supplies as needed.
Status: We are accepting new evacuees.

When you first arrive in Calgary, visit our reception centre to register and be connected to support.
We encourage Northwest Territories residents who need to evacuate, need to be prepared to evacuate or have already evacuated to register with the Government of Northwest Territories.
