I wanted to share the news about the upcoming Red Line LRT closure, that will start on the 24th and last until December 4th. The 17 Ave SE/Victoria Park Station rebuild is under way, but they will be closing the line to continue the work. The work will be connecting the new station tracks to existing tracks; string overhead power lines to connect the new station to the existing system; install and test train signals; start demolition of the temporary platforms and tracks; and build pedestrian access to the new station.
For those who use the Red Line, the city will be using every bus at its disposal to pick up passengers and connect them back to the Red Line and vice versa. Please click the link so that you know what the route will look like, and if you know someone who takes the Red Line – please share.
