Four times each year, Calgary Transit reviews service levels, schedules, and routes, and makes changes ensure the right amount of service is being provided.

This year’s winter service changes start on December 18. While the majority of changes are generally minor, including adjustments to schedules to improve connections and schedule adherence, a number of routes in the northeast will also see transit improvements following a Transit Service Review. Partly informed by public feedback, these changes in northeast communities will bring buses closer to new communities, improve hours of service, add weekend service, and provide more frequency.

Notable changes include:

• Route 100 – Airport will now end at Saddletowne Station instead of McKnight/Westwinds Station, connecting with 14 local routes at Saddletowne.
• Route 136 – Corner Meadows/Cornerstone is a new route providing service to the community of Corner Meadows.
• Route 161 – North Pointe Terminal/Stoney Industrial is being removed and replaced with the newly realigned Route 157 – West Stoney Industrial. This route is a combination of Routes 157 and 161, servicing North Point, Stoney Transit Facility, and Saddletowne Station.
